Tabby and Amanda would like to invite you to join us on retreat to share, create and play and be pampered with a supportive and nurturing group of women.

Around 1 in 4 pregnant women experience a miscarriage or pregnancy loss.

This retreat is for you to explore shared experiences, stages of grief and what has supported you through this time in a safe, nurturing space.

In our culture there is little or no opportunity for women who have experienced the life-changing event of miscarriage or pregnancy loss to honour/debrief the experience.  The memories of such an incredible and often traumatic process can lie dormant or festering within us. Women’s experiences of miscarriage/pregnancy loss can vary greatly, from fear, guilt, shame, grief or any combination of these. While going about life after this loss, time can be sparse to process the event and the profound changes upon us.  This can affect our:

  • – relationship with our partner
  • – physical and mental wellbeing
  • – work/social life
  • – relationship with ourself

Partners have their own experience and may not completely relate with or understand our experience of grief. Support people (parents/friends) may have different experiences, feelings, beliefs, thoughts so we can often feel alone, isolated and anxious in our experience.  What can also be challenging is the journey following the termination and re-adjusting to life.

Amanda and Tabby are passionate about providing supportive spaces, and to minimise stigma and shame through sharing, empathy, compassion and acknowledgement.

Mt Martha, VIC, Australia

Tabby and Amanda would like to invite you to join us on retreat to share, create and play and be pampered with a supportive and nurturing group of women.

Up to 1 in 3 Australian women will have an abortion at some point in her life. This retreat is for you to explore shared experiences, stages of grief and what has supported you through this time in a safe, nurturing space.

In our culture there is little or no opportunity for women who have experienced the life-changing event of pregnancy loss by termination/abortion to honour/debrief the experience.  The memories of such an incredible and often traumatic process can lie dormant or festering within us. Women’s experiences of termination vary greatly, from fear, relief,  guilt, shame, grief or any combination of these. While going about life after this experience, time can be sparse to process the event and the profound changes upon us.  This can affect our:

  • – relationship with our partner
  • – physical and mental wellbeing

A Retreat for Healing for mothers after giving birth

Saturday 18th February 10am-4pm

Gaiaspirit Retreat, Mt Martha, VIC, Australia

Tabby and Amanda would like to invite you to join us on retreat to share, create and play and be pampered with a supportive and nurturing group of women.

This retreat is for women who have experienced birth, recently or many moons ago, for you to explore shared experiences through this time in a safe, nurturing space.

In our culture there is little or no opportunity for women who have experienced the life-changing event of birth to debrief the experience.  The memories of such an incredible and often traumatic process itself can lie dormant or festering within us. As with the busyness of caring for a new child, time can be sparse to process the event and the profound changes upon us.  This can affect our:

  • – relationship and bonding with our child
  • – relationship with our partner
  • – physical and mental wellbeing
  • – work/social life
  • – relationship with ourself

Partners have their own experience and may not completely relate with or understand our experience as a new Mum. Support people (parents/friends) may have different experiences, feelings, beliefs, thoughts so we can often feel alone, isolated and anxious in our experience.  What can also be challenging is the journey following birth, the transition into Motherhood or motherhood again and all the surprises and shocks that can come with it.

Amanda and Tabby are passionate about providing supportive spaces for these shared experiences of giving birth and transitioning into motherhood, to be honoured, heard and witnessed.
